It’s November, which means the holidays are nearly upon us. This is the perfect time to stock up on our November beer, wine, and liquor picks to help get you through this busy season, especially if you’re the one hosting the extended family this year.
November Beer, Wine and Liquor of the Month
November’s beer of the month is Peak Organic Fresh Nectar. This 6.8% New England IPA is bursting with fresh citrus and floral flavors. It has a hazy, smooth body with ripe nectar notes that explode on the palate, and Citra and Azacca hops are prominently showcased. Six-pack cans are on sale for $11.99.
Our wine of the month, Omen Origins Zinfandel, is from Sierra Foothills, California, and available for $14.99. This medium-bodied, ultrasmooth wine is rich and relaxed, offering notes of super-ripe cherries and roasted plums along with tilled earth, cedar, and sage accents that lend compelling complexity.
You’ll also want to mark your calendar for Beaujolais Nouveau Day on November 16th! This wine is traditionally released the third Thursday of November, just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. We’ll have George Dubeouf Beaujolais Nouveau available for $12.99 a bottle. This wine offers fresh aromas of black cherries and blackberries, as well as a dense texture, and an admirable richness.
Newly available in Maine, Blade and Bow Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is our November liquor of the month. A homage to the legendary Stitzel-Weller distillery, this whiskey uses a unique Solera System aging process to preserve some of the distillery’s oldest whiskey stocks, including some of the last bourbon produced there before it closed in 1992. Aged in new charred American white oak barrels, this bourbon has a subtle aroma of fresh fruit and a taste that includes hints of dried apricot, ripe pear and a sweet roasted grain.
