We’ve hand-picked a gluten-reduced pale lager, a vibrant Italian red, and a crisp silver tequila to welcome the season with style.

May Beer, Wine, and Liquor of the Month

Our May Beer of the Month is Belleflower Brewing’s Lost Leaf, a 5.6% ABV gluten-reduced pale lager lightly dry hopped with Bavaria Mandarin. Lost Leaf pours bright yellow with aromas of baked breads and crackers, with a touch of white wine grape. The first sip offers a burst of clementine, rounded out with earthy-like flavors. This beer is slightly herbal with light to moderate bitterness. 

Lost Leaf was tested at QC2, using an R5 Competitive Gliadin ELISA. The sample passed with flying colors resulting in less than 10ppm. For reference, the FDA requires gluten-free foods must have less than 20ppm. Same great taste, now easier drinkin’ for the gluten-sensitive. 4-pack 16 oz cans are available for $11.99

Zeni Mr. Lake Bardolino is our May Wine of the Month. Mr. Lake is a blend of Corvina

and Rondinella grapes and is a light and fresh red with tangy cherry and wild strawberry fruit, hints of savory spice, and soft tannins. Try it slightly chilled. Bottles are available for $11.99.

Our May Liquor of the Month is Milagro Silver Tequila, a 100% blue agave tequila renowned for its bright, fresh agave flavor and exceptional smoothness. It’s crystal clear with silver hues and features aromas of lemon grass, citrus and black pepper. Pick up a bottle to enjoy for only $29.99.

Cocktail of the Month 

Our May recipe, Cucumber Basil Margarita, features our liquor of the month, Milagro Silver Tequila and is a crisp, herbaceous twist on the classic marg — perfect for spring sipping!

Cucumber Basil Margarita

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Milagro Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ¾ oz agave syrup (or simple syrup)
  • 3 cucumber slices
  • 2-3 fresh basil leaves
  • Optional: Salt for rimming the glass

Instructions:

Muddle the cucumber slices and basil leaves in a shaker. Add the tequila, lime juice, and agave syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake well. Strain into a salt-rimmed rocks glass over fresh ice, and garnish with a cucumber wheel and basil sprig.
